Westmead Centre for Mental Health

Project Overview

Richard Crookes was awarded the principal construction contract and is responsible for delivering the new Westmead Centre for Mental Health, a purpose-built 10-storey facility designed to replace and relocate all inpatient and outpatient mental health services currently based at Cumberland Hospital.

Situated within the Westmead Health Precinct, the development integrates acute, sub-acute, non-acute, ambulatory and specialist mental health services into a contemporary, therapeutic environment connected directly to Westmead Hospital via a new link bridge.

Delivered within a live tertiary health precinct, the project forms a core component of the NSW Government's mental health infrastructure program and is scheduled for completion in 2027.
