Bundaberg Hospital Development

Project Overview

The New Bundaberg Hospital is a major greenfield health-infrastructure project being delivered by the Queensland Government at Thabeban, south of Bundaberg, to meet the needs of the region's rapidly growing and ageing population.

The development will deliver more than 410 beds and treatment spaces, including at least 139 new overnight beds, a significantly expanded emergency department, new operating theatres, acute mental health facilities and a rooftop helipad.

Delivered under the Queensland Government's Hospital Rescue Plan with CPB Contractors as preferred contractor, the hospital will be the largest health-infrastructure investment ever undertaken in the Wide Bay region.
