Project Overview
Stage 2 of the Nepean Hospital Redevelopment delivers a new clinical tower that expands critical and acute care capacity for Western Sydney. Appointed by the NSW Government, CPB Contractors is responsible for the main construction works, continuing the transformation initiated in Stage 1.
The development includes a new intensive care unit, medical imaging and nuclear medicine services, an in‑centre renal dialysis unit, a paediatric inpatient unit, education and training facilities, and a new front‑of‑house and reception area.
Stage 2 also upgrades and repurposes several existing campus buildings, completed in early 2024, to improve functionality and integration with the new facilities. Leveraging its Stage 1 experience, CPB Contractors is managing complex live‑hospital interfaces to minimise operational disruption and maintain continuity of care. The project also prioritises local training, employment, and supplier participation.
This redevelopment balances complex clinical requirements, operational upgrades, and live‑environment construction, reinforcing the hospital’s role as a major provider of specialist and emergency care for the region.
