Project Overview
The project involves the revitalisation of the Camden Civic Centre, transforming the 1982 built venue into a modern, multi purpose cultural and events hub that better serves the needs of the region’s rapidly growing community. Delivered by Trinity Fitout & Construction, the redevelopment enhances the centre’s functionality, flexibility and visitor experience, enabling it to host exhibitions, performances, conferences, weddings and community gatherings.
The project includes a state of the art event space, a new grand foyer and civic bar, a refurbished 600 seat auditorium, upgraded conference and media rooms, improved acoustics, expanded back of house areas and extensive landscaping. The upgrade also improves connectivity from John Street, introduces new outdoor multipurpose spaces and integrates public art installations that reflect Camden’s evolving identity.
As a major community investment, the project balances architectural renewal with operational performance, ensuring the Civic Centre remains a central cultural asset for the region. Its combination of heritage interfaces, public realm improvements and complex staging requirements underscores the project’s scale and importance to local residents and visitors alike.
